Now we have made the complete cycle of the application. We have retrieved this formatted label from our MemoPad so that we don't need to type in a long string that we are printing many times (e.g. at a conference demonstrating how great the Zebra printer performs Serial and IR printing from a Palm handheld). Here we are printing a label to an IR Zebra printer. The format was produced using the Label Vista™ software. Printers may use different print command languages. You can always print a string without using print commands. Another example, to print a formatted receipt to a Zebra printer we could use the following print string:
